Is a steel frame noisier than other stud frame buildings?

No - this is one of the most “popular” myths of light gauge steel framing. Deepblue’s light gauge steel frames are no noisier than other stud frames and there is some evidence to suggest the contrary. Studies conducted by CSIRO found that “most occupants of homes with steel frames either reported no sound emitted from the frame or said that if it did, it was not a problem”.
