Description:

EXTRUDERS A wide range of extruders is available to meet any demand from our customers. Single screw or twin screw, with parallel and conical counter-rotating screws. All extruders have different L/D ratios and drives, to ensure the proper plasticization and throughput. Also, they run synchronized with the downstream equipment.

DIES Available in single and multi-manifold version, all the dies are manufactured using special steels, thermally treated to improve mechanical properties as well as thermal stress resistance. Multi-manifold dies are manufactured with separate distribution channels, to allow different materials to be extruded. The dies with automatic adjustment of thickness are also available for high production lines.

STABILIZATION AND COOLING CALENDERS The calenders are designed and manufactured to suit the different type of materials and the throughput required as well. Vertical, horizontal and sloped versions are available, with 3 or 5 rolls of different diameter depending on the thickness of the finished product and the output need. Additional cooling rolls are used to ensure the perfect cooling of the finished product for high speed running. Special stabilizing units are also used if required.

HAUL-OFF UNITS AND ROLLER SETS Separate or built-in haul-off units are available. Featured by pairs of rubber lined rolls, synchronized with the rest of the line to haul the foil at constant speed. A roller set is usually installed between the calender and the hauloff unit, to support the sheet while connecting the two machines. Additional benefit is the gradual cooling of material at ambient temperature, so reducing the inner stress to the minimum. Stationary or telescopic version, the roller sets can be equipped with independent drive or axial cooling fans if required.

WINDERS Suitable winders for retail or industrial reels up to 2000 mm diameter can be fitted on the extrusion lines upon request. Depending on material and thickness of the finished product, winders are supplied selecting among different types: two-shaft rotating turrets, two or more cantilever shafts or reel holder trolleys. High production lines are additionally equipped with in-line compensators, also called accumulators, for the non-stop production when changing the reel.

STACKERS In-line units are supplied by KC Plas to stack thick sheets, selecting among different types: • hydraulic version, with lowering platform; • mechanical or pneumatic stacking and tilting systems;
